Eating Disorders

An unhealthy attitude to food

Eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating are serious mental health problems.

1.6 million people in the UK are affected by an eating disorder
11% of those struggling with an eating disorder are male
10% of people affected by an eating disorder suffer from anorexia nervosa
40% of people affected by an eating disorder suffer from bulimia nervosa
Research suggests that the earlier that eating disorder treatment is sought, the better the sufferer’s chance of recovery.

Helpful hypnotherapy

I contacted Steve to work with my teenage daughter who was [suffering from] anorexia... She was limiting her food intake and exercising more than is healthy. We tried several therapies with her but Steve's session was the only one that seemed to make a qualitative difference. Now she is no longer limiting her food so much and has a healthier relationship to exercising. As her parents we are delighted and hugely thankful to Steve's hypnotherapy.

[Since our session], I bizarrely seem to think about food less. I’ve pretty much stuck to 3 meals a day with no snacking which is unheard of for me. I also haven’t had any Coca-Cola since the session. I think I can continue as haven’t had any desire. The session gave me a lot to think on and I felt it was really productive. I just wanted to say thank you. I felt completely safe throughout the session.
