A little stress is normal and natural. Anything more than that might be worth talking about.
Clearly stress is a huge problem in our society. Did you know that:
In the past year, 74% of people have felt so stressed they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope(www.mentalhealth.org.uk)46% reported that they ate too much or ate unhealthily due to stress. 29% reported that they started drinking or increased their drinking due to stress. 16% reported that they started smoking or increased their smoking due to stress. 51% of adults who felt stressed reported feeling depressed, and 61% reported feeling anxious. 37% of adults who reported feeling stressed reported feeling lonely as a result.
Yet people suffering with physical pain are still far more likely to seek help than those experiencing mental or emotional pain.
I'd been in a really bad place for weeks. Every area of my life was a cause of intense distress. It was utterly miserable. After only one session with Steve, it all turned around, literally overnight. That was weeks ago and I still feel great! I'm now in a totally different and much better place.
But there is hope. Society is finally starting to acknowledge the importance of mental health (alongside physical health), and sufferers are finding more and more ways to get help.
We believe that you carry within you (within your subconscious) all the resources you need to help you moderate or manage your stress – but you may benefit from some expert assistance to help you get in touch with those inner resources.
